I would like to share my passion for fitness and why I do what I love. Having been trained as a ballerina since they age of 3 has been the catalyst for my pursuing a fitness career straight out of college.
Over the past 10 years I have continued my education in fitness and nutrition. As we speak, I am confident that my career as a personal trainer and health coach has been one of the most rewarding paths I could have chosen.
Every day that I get the chance to meet with new people and go to work in group settings or see clients one-on-one, I have the ability to show people new ways of staying healthy, I keep them motivated, and I empower them to be the best version of themselves.
My passion for doing what I do every day is to help people whether it's losing weight, gaining confidence, energy or beginning a new healthier lifestyle or just overall well-being and has truly given me the opportunity to have a purpose and a why I do what I do.
I now pay it forward and show others how to stay healthy and fit so they will be happy in their own skin.
I believe its about making new habits that are created around your culture that becomes routine.
Having the gift to enable people how to live a healthy and active lifestyle that they will use for a lifetime warms my heart.
I do not think there is anything more important than your health and vitality. Its something that money cannot buy.

She shares this knowledge with her clients and in her programs.

Master Daniella Leifer
Master Daniella Leifer is a 5th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and has been an avid practitioner for almost 20 years. She trains daily and is honored to be under the tutelage of Master Paul Melella (6th Dan), Master Anthony Melella (5th Dan), and Master Chris Berlow (6th Dan). Her instructors train under the guidance of Grand Master Byung Min Kim, who has instilled in them that as long as they continue to train consistently, they will always grow as Martial Artists and as leaders. This is the message we are passing down to our students at UMAC.
Master Leifer was introduced to Tae Kwon Do and to her teachers through a 6 week after school program at Putnam Valley Elementary School. She earned her white belt at the end of the course and that same night, drove to what was once Tae Kwon Do Educational Center in Carmel and enrolled as a student. At age 14, she qualified to become a Certified Instructor and began her teaching career. She has been instructing ages 4 and up for over 10 years.
In the year 2014 Master Leifer graduated Marist College with a Bachelors Degree in English Literature and Adolescent Education. Her dream all her life was to be an English teacher. When she graduated she was offered many teaching positions in local public schools, but she had to ask herself “What can I not live without?”. She could not envision a life without Tae Kwon Do, and she chose instead to be a Professional Martial Artist with United Martial Arts Centers. She knew she could impact the world on a much greater scale teaching Tae Kwon Do.
Master Leifer has the deepest gratitude for her parents, brother, family, and close friends who have loved and supported her. She also says however, that UMAC has been the backbone to all of her success in her school career, and in all of her life. Aside from a lifelong family and countless friends, Master Leifer also met her fiancé, Master Jason Bender, through UMAC. Master Bender is also a 5th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and they will both tell you that there is nothing better than doing what you love with the person that you love.
Master Leifer lives each day through her Worthy Ideal: To lead, teach, and inspire students, my friends, and family, to reach their personal full potential physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, so that they can lead a healthy, vital life, of happiness, passion, and fulfillment.
Megan McAvoy
When you witness something as traumatic as September 11 out of your bedroom window the first week of college, it is bound to change you. That’s why Megan McAvoy, Owner of Abundance of Yoga and President of Megan McAvoy Coaching, LLC believes so passionately that yoga is not about looking good, being flexible on the mat, or if you can “do it right.”
Yoga will change your body – by making you stronger and more flexible – but Megan knows from personal experience that the most important changes will be to your mind and your spirit. Yoga is how Megan overcame PTSD after 9/11. Instead of following the traditional path of prescription drugs, Megan taught herself yoga: growing physically stronger each day; healing in the quiet space between each breath; and addressing the root of the physical, mental, and emotional tension that manifested in all areas of her life.
Yoga is a path where we don’t have to be competitive. Having built and sold her first two successful businesses by 31 years old, then moved across the country to launch her dream business, Megan is no stranger to the burning desire for “success.” She just doesn’t believe that it should come with a high price tag: our health or wellbeing. That’s why Megan now shares the Abundance of Yoga with others – who want to follow a similar path - and she also coaches successful women across the country through her signature program “Do What Matters Most: A Self Development Coaching Program with Ease, Clarity and Fulfillment” which is rooted in her yoga values.
